Blue Coat Regiment Announces 2021 Tour
The Blue Coat Regiment Marching Band is excited to announce a full and robust tour of home and away football games and marching band competitions for the 2021 season—the first true season since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic that disrupted 2020.
The Blue Coats will perform at all home and the majority of away varsity football games, cheering on and supporting our Riverview Sharks, starting with the game at King High School on August 27.
Most exciting of all is the return of competitions through the Florida Marching Band Championships circuit. The band will compete at two regionals this season: Durant High School on October 9 and Braden River High School on October 23, and also host its own on November 13. 2021 also marks the return of the Florida Bandmasters Association Marching Music Performance Assessment on November 6 at Bloomingdale High School. The Blue Coats will end their season the weekend of November 20/21 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala for the FMBC State Championships. The final performance date will be determined based on the band’s competition class.
New this year, the band will perform at Raymond James Stadium on August 7 for the Bullard Family Foundation’s Back to School Bash in their first Battle of the Bands.
