Varsity Winter Guard Makes 2020 FFCC Season Debut, Updates for Riverview’s FFCC Showcase of Champions

This past weekend the girls of the Varsity Blue Radiance Winter Guard made their debut of the 2020 Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit at the National Class Premiere at Cypress Creek High School.

The girls earned sixth place in the Scholastic Class AA with their show, “Where the Light Gets In” and earned a rating of Excellent along with their score. The team will perform again in two weeks with the Junior Varsity Winter Guard. Because of the historic number of guard teams registered—over 65, including Tampa Independent, University of South Florida and Tarpon Springs High School—the event has been changed from a mixed event with percussion ensembles and winds groups to just winter guards.

This change means that the Indoor Percussion Ensemble and Riverview Winds Indoor Winds Ensemble will have only two performances for the month of February: Premiere on the 1st and Focus on the 29th.
