Angelina Leto, Percussion and Visual Instructor

Like many of the Riverview Band Program’s staff, Angelina brings a breadth and depth of experience in the performing arts that makes her an invaluable member of the team that always puts students’ needs first.

A graduate of Gaither High School, Angelina was a member of the Marching Cowboys all four years, her first year on flute and the rest as a percussionist. Her switch to percussion for marching season did not stop her wind career, though—she continued to play both flute and oboe during concert season.

On the percussionist front, Angelina was a member of the Gaither indoor percussion team for two years and played concert percussion for three. Rounding out the trifecta, Angelina also has experience with color guard having done flag, rifle and sabre work with the Marching Cowboys.

Now with primary responsibility for percussion students and their music and fundamentals, Angelina works with the Blue Coat Regiment Marching Band and the Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Additionally, she works with all wind students on their marching and movement skills. In her first season with the Band Program, Angelina was part of the staff who helped the Indoor Percussion Ensemble earn its third medal at Circuit Championships when the team took home the bronze in the 2023 McCormick’s Division of Scholastic Marching Class AA.

Angelina attends the University of South Florida and in her free time loves to read and surf. She was proudly on the leadership team with the Gaither band program as band manager and percussion captain.
