All Four Indoor Ensembles Perform, Bring Home Three Medals
In what will be one of the busiest weekends of the 2020 Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit season for the Band Program, all four indoor ensembles performed at the Braden River High School regional: the Varsity and Junior Varsity Blue Radiance Winter Guard, Indoor Percussion Ensemble and Riverview Winds Indoor Winds Ensemble.
The day started off with the Junior Varsity Winter Guard (above) who placed third in their round of Scholastic Class B with a score of 67.29, a mere .04 behind second place Durant High School’s junior varsity winter guard. Following behind their junior counterparts, the Varsity Winter Guard performed their show, “Where the Light Gets In,” and placed sixth with a Superior rating.
Rounding out the evening, the Indoor Percussion Ensemble (above) and Riverview Winds (below) both had their third performances of the season following their FFCC Focus appearances one week prior. Both teams earned 1st place in their class—Scholastic Marching Class AA for percussion and Independent Class A for winds—and were a great ending to the long, but worth it, day in Bradenton.
Up next both winter guards will make their final regular season appearance at the Durant High School regional before all four teams make their way to Daytona Beach for the FFCC Championships at the end of the month.
