Percussion Scores first Gold, Winter Guard Continues to Medal

On Saturday both the Blue Radiance Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion Ensemble took to the floor at Braden River High School for their final Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit regional of the 2022 season before Circuit Championships at the end of the month.

As usual, the winter guard was up first with their program, “For a Moment,” and as is now usual for the season came home medalists. The team earned a score of 69.17, which was good for a bronze third place in Scholastic Class AAA.

Performing more than half a day later, the percussion team presented a revamped “A Single Step” against North Port High School—and came out on top! Scoring a 68.35 the team won gold and set themselves up for an even better seed at Circuit Championships.

Both teams will have their final performances at the Daytona Ocean Center for Circuit Championships, winter guard on March 25 and percussion on March 26.
