Winter Guard, Indoor Percussion Make 2021 Indoor Season Debut

After weeks of rehearsals and preparations, the students of the Band Program’s Blue Radiance Winter Guard and Indoor Percussion Ensemble attended the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit’s 2021 Premiere West at Durant High School.

The FFCC has made extensive changes to their season to allow for a safe return for students, staff and families, including mandatory face coverings and limited capacity in performance venues to allow for physical distancing. Premiere also took place weeks later than the typical season, allowing for teams to make the necessary adjustments for the “new normal.”

Premiere was a non-scored event this season, another change made by the FFCC to allow teams an easy start for what has certainly been a challenging year. Both teams will have their next performance—and first score of the season—at the FFCC regional at Plant City High School on February 27.
