Season Finale: Blue Coats Win 3rd Grand Championship

To end their 2022 season, the Blue Coats traveled north on November 12 for the Florida Marching Band Championships Regional, the North Marion High School Kingdom of the Sun Festival.

Held annually as a prelims/finals event, the competition saw the Blue Coats earn the higher overall score at prelims, giving them the final performance slot of the night at the finals portion of the day.

Just a few hours later, the band won the top prize of the day—the Grand Championship, and Best in Finals for the captions of music, visual, general effect, color guard and percussion. This marks the Band Programs third grand champion title, following the Lecanto Panther Pride Invitational Marching Band Festival in 2018 and the Largo Golden Invitational in 2019.

It has been another historic season for the Riverview Band Program thanks to our amazing students and our hardworking staff, Booster Board and family volunteers. Congratulations to all!
