Recap: District Marching Music Performance Assessment

This Saturday the Riverview Band Program played host to 27 high school marching bands from around Hillsborough County to take part in our annual District Marching Music Performance Assessment. 26 of our public schools were joined by the private Berkeley Preparatory Academy in their Marching MPA debut to perform for adjudicators who evaluated them in the captions of music, marching and maneuvering, general effect, percussion and auxiliary/color guard.

The Blue Coat Regiment earned a Straight Superior rating, meaning all the adjudicators gave them a Superior for their respective captions. This is the sixth consecutive year the band has earned an overall Superior, with all but one year being a Straight Superior.

This is the second year the Band Program has hosted this prestigious event and we could not have done it without the help of our Booster Board, Program Staff, volunteers, school administration and of course, our students. A big thank you to all those who made this event possible!
