Repeat Victory at Wiregrass Ranch High School

This weekend the Blue Coat Regiment enjoyed the same results they had earned at Seminole High School just two weeks earlier: they took home the second place trophy for class 4A and the color guard placed first in class.

Herman Rios, Color Guard Director, had this to say about the night’s performance, “It’s really great to see this new guard continuing the tradition of success and excellence this year. They’ve grown so much for such a young team.” During the 2015 indoor season the Blue Radiance Color Guard earned first place at every regional they attended, and second place at the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit Championships.

“Tonight the kids had their best run of the season and the entire staff are absolutely thrilled with their performance. Everyone should be very proud of all the hard work they have put in so far,” said Mr. B, Director of Instrumental Music.

Next weekend on Saturday, November 7 the Riverview Band Program is hosting the Florida Bandmasters Association District 7 Marching Music Performance Assessment. All 27 of Hillsborough County’s marching bands will be performing that evening, with the Regiment taking the field at 8:15pm.

The season will conclude just two weeks after that on November 21 with the Florida Marching Band Coalition State Championships at Tropicana Field.
