Wind Ensemble Earns Straight Superiors

On Friday the students of the Wind Ensemble-the Band Program's premier ensemble for advanced woodwind, brass and percussion players-took to the stage at Howard W. Blake High School for the Arts for the annual Florida Bandmasters Association District Concert Music Performance Assessment.

The band performed three pieces for a panel of judges, Royal Australian Navy March, Fu-Mon and Cowboy Symphony. After their performance the students the moved on to sight-reading, where the band is given a set amount of time to review pieces they have never seen or played before. For their performance on stage and in the sight-reading room, the Wind Ensemble were given Straight Superior ratings.

Congratulations to our Wind Ensemble students!
