Winter Guard Earns Bronze at 2022 Premiere, Kickstarts Band Program’s Indoor Season

On Saturday the students of the Blue Radiance Winter Guard debuted their 2022 program, “For a Moment,” at the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit’s Premiere West—and also attended the first event of the Riverview Band Program’s indoor season. 

Performing in Scholastic Class AAA, the team competed against eight others in their round, and had the final performance slot before the results were announced. 

Taking advantage of their slot in the competition, and channeling their energy from their rehearsals and camp days, the students went on to earn third place with a score of 65.64—and earned first place in the equipment and movement captions. 

With a strong start for the season, the Band Program’s next performance is the Indoor Percussion Ensemble’s Premiere competition at Cypress Creek High School in Orlando on February 5.
